In mid-2017, Funraise was at the very beginning of a journey that would take it from an after-hours start-up to the world’s best nonprofit fundraising platform. Watermark Ventures was a critical seed round investor in Funraise and our leadership insights helped the company’s development and marketing team grow their product offering – and ultimately their vision – from a single donation form to a best-in-class suite of services that empowers the fundraising campaigns of nonprofits and other organizations around the world.
Watermark was one of the first VC firms to identify the potential of Funraise and we worked closely with the company’s founders and other early investors to drive early growth and eventually achieve an oversubscribed Series A round of funding of $9.7 Million, led by Toba Capital in early 2018.
Today, Funraise continues to enjoy exponential sales growth as it expands its product, technology, and marketing teams to help more nonprofits exceed their fundraising goals.
